Who We Are

After spending more than 25 years in Arkansas courtrooms, I’ve seen the damage caused by poor, outdated, or non-existent estate planning. Time and time again, families ended up in conflict—not because of bad intentions, but because they simply didn’t have a plan, or didn’t update the one they had.

I started Phoenix Law with one purpose: to help families avoid court, avoid conflict, and leave behind a legacy of clarity and love—not confusion and legal battles.

From Courtroom Battles to Peaceful Planning

When I first began practicing law in 1996, most of my time was spent in probate and family law litigation. I represented people in tough situations—guardianships, will contests, blended family disputes—and I saw how these painful cases could have been avoided with the right plan in place.

The turning point came during the COVID-19 pandemic. I lost a longtime elderly client, and it shook me. I realized I wanted to serve my clients differently—before crisis, not after.

That’s when I transformed my practice and created Phoenix Law, a firm focused entirely on helping families plan for the future through education, support, and meaningful relationships.

Why Planning Matters So Much to Me

I’ve worked with widows who couldn’t transfer title to their homes. I’ve seen adult children fight over nothing more than old furniture. I’ve watched families spend tens of thousands of dollars in court just to sort out what could’ve been solved with one well-drafted plan.

And I’ve lived through those moments with friends and clients—many of whom are still dealing with the emotional scars today.

That’s why estate planning isn’t just a service I offer. It’s a calling.

How Phoenix Law Is Different

Most law firms will give you documents and send you on your way. That’s not how we do things here.

At Phoenix Law, we provide:
  • Personalized plans that reflect your values, your family, and your future
  • Flat fees, so you’re never afraid to call with a question
  • Regular check-ins and reviews, because life changes and your plan should too
  • Clear communication, so you always understand your next step
We focus on what I call Life & Legacy Planning. It’s not just about wills or trusts—it’s about protecting the people and principles that matter most to you.
