Starting your estate plan doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. At Phoenix Law, I’ve designed a simple, supportive process that helps you get clear on what matters most—and puts a plan in place that reflects your values, protects your loved ones, and grows with you.
Contact NowThe first step is a two-hour meeting where we explore what would happen to your family and your assets if something were to happen to you today. We call this your Life & Legacy Planning Session, and it’s designed to give you peace of mind and clarity.
If what would happen isn’t what you want, we’ll walk through your options together—and begin designing a plan that works.
This meeting isn’t a high-pressure consultation or a quick document review. It’s a structured, thoughtful experience where we take the time to understand your family, your assets, and your goals.
You’ll meet with me personally. If you’re planning with a spouse or partner, they should attend as well so you can make decisions together.
We’ll send this to you after you schedule. It’s okay if you don’t have every detail—it’s meant to be a starting point to help us guide you.
Things like bank and brokerage statements, life insurance info, out-of-state property deeds, retirement plans, and any business-related materials.
Everyone has questions that are unique to their situation. Write your questions down, so I make sure you get the information you need to educate yourself on the best options for you and your loved ones
Now is a good time to ask your insurance and retirement account providers for beneficiary designation change forms. You won’t need them right away, but having them ready will help later.
This is where we explore your goals, review your questionnaire, and decide together what kind of plan is right for you. Most clients choose and move forward with a plan at this meeting.
Once your documents are ready, you’ll meet with me again to review and sign everything. I’ll walk you through each document so you understand exactly what you’re putting in place. We’ll also arrange the notary and witnesses.
Your original signed documents are presented in a binder for safekeeping. Even if you’re a digital person, this gives you a tangible record of what matters. It’s a meaningful moment—and a chance to ask final questions.
This isn’t just document prep. It’s a personal relationship. I want to be your lawyer for life, not just a name on a folder.
If you’re looking for one-off document creation, I’m happy to refer you elsewhere. But if you want lifetime guidance, ongoing protection, and a plan that truly works—I’d be honored to work with you.
